The wings of reconciliation

The wings of reconciliation are striving for what connects rather than what separates, for reconciliation rather than revenge. A person who is spreading their arms wide open like wings epitomizes their willingness to face another, a new, a strange person granting them a credit of trust. They are unarmed, ready to hug. He who thinks differently, who speaks differently, who believes and loves differently, he who has got another skin colour, another story, different hopes – doesn’t he deserve our respect? I think he does. Why not dare facing each other with understanding, esteem and respect, spreading the wings of reconciliation inside ourselves?
